I knelt on the double yellow lines
The crescent moon shining on my face
The tears kept falling
Dripping to the ground
All over the place
The pains pierced me like I’d been shot
Not once or twice
Tiny bullets beneath my skin
All over my body—everywhere
I was a grand sin
One immense mistake
Two roads forged into one where I lay
Under the snowfall without the light of day
No sun to warm my body
No love to absorb my pain
Quiet as my thoughts that drove me insane
Just the street and I that winter night as well as the moon
